have a job, get a debit card or a bank card (most work just like credit cards), get a parent ot co-sign. Credit cards are a crazy bad idea though they just put you in debt and its lame |

I don't know if your Canadian or if you can get one outside of Canada...But MuchMusic has these prepaid cards and it's like a credit card for those 16 and older. you can go to www.muchmusic.com if this applies to you. |

If you are about to enter college you will get all kinds of offers. other than that you will more than likely need a co signer. Under 18 you are not legally allowed to enter into a contract.
Please be very careful it is very easy to get into debt. That is why card companies give credit to college kids they get their hooks into them and have them for life. Look into how Long it takes to pay off even a small amount. just paying the minimum will keep you in debt for years. Been there still in debt |

Try applying for a gas card.
If you are just trying to build credit ... see if your parents will add your name to their major credit cards. I was able to help my daughter build some credit just by having her name on my card. |

You must have a co-signer or co-borrower like your mom or dad. I'm pretty sure you can't get credit cards until you are legally an adult (18 years or older depending on the financial instituion). Be very careful because credit cards can ruin your life. |

im pretty sure they cant, most reputuable credit card places such as capital one etc you have to be 18, this is the age you have to be to be in a legally binding agreement e,g. if you owe them money and your a minor theres nothing they can do
they wont just give you a credit card, they will do back ground checks on you to see what your credit rating is, if you have any loans, where you working, can you afford to re pay them etc etc
threrefore till you turn 18 i dont think you can have one |
