there are two ways you could start credit one or them is taking out a small personal loan which you might need a parent or an adult to co-sign for you meaning if you do not pay the loan they will. Or you could apply for a credit card for bad or no credit which most likely will get you approved no matter what, but if you are a student you could get a student credit card which will offer you lower rates and no annual fees, check out www.fastcreditcardapprovals.com and go under bad or no credit or student cards. good luck |

credit isnt built fast, sorry.. the fastest ( safest way ) i can think of is through the bank and of course keeping a job for as long as you can looks good as well. you could borrow a few thousand from the bank ( save the money )and pay the payments for several months and then just give them the money back. |

I can relate exactly to this. Listen one year ago my credit score was 529 and now Im buying my own house with a 685 score. I work in a credit dept of a MAJOR company so I assure this info is accurate. 1. Open at least 3 credit accounts (4 being ideal) dont go over 4!!!
2. Start charging being very careful not to charge more than half of your limit.(that will affect your debt to credit raio) . 3. Make all your payments on time.
Your credit score will increase a minimum of 8 points per month if you do this. |

Don't overspend on your credit card. Buy small amounts of things and never be late paying a credit card bill. |

Make sure your credit card company reports to all the credit bureau's out there, first of all. But why do you need good credit to make one specific deposit? I odn't get it. you don't just escalate the journey to good credit, it just happens when you don't default credit cards or bank accounts. |

Get a credit card and use for gas and pay off immediately. If you have a friend or family member with a card that has been open for a real long time try to be added as an authorized user. It can trick the credit bureaus so that it looks like you have used credit since"97" or whenever. Time on file is one of the risk factors. The fewer months with credit history the more risky you are. |

The best you can have as far as revolving debt is 2-3 credit cards. You want to make your payments on-time, but don't pay them off 100%. Leave a small balance (some will report a $0 balance as PAID - you don't want that). You want them reporting as CURRENT, not PAID. Having a low balance compared to your limits is important (percent revolving utilized).
Newly opened accounts are bad (but you have to open them at some point). Get 1-3 credit cards opened, and keep them open. The longer you've got the history, the better. |

When you purchase things with the credit card pay them off as fast as possible. Do not wait until the due date. This will look good on your credit reports and will help get you a higher rating. Never fall behind on payments and try really hard to not let them charge you interest. If you pay everything off quickly then they can't.
Be smart though...it is a lot easier to ruin your credit rating than build it up. |

you can achieve it faster by making large purchases and paying them off quickly
spend and pay off, that way the credit company knows your good for your payments, and they will help you out |
