no!! they only thing they can do it help pay your bills by lowering the payments.. and it takes 7 years from the day u paid them off in full the be removed from your credit report.. Now if someone is say they can do it themselves and remove them they laying to u..
Just pay your bills on time from now on and u will see an improvement.. |

Call and insist to speak with in-house Collections and request for credit restructuring. Most banks will oblige. But you need to act on the new contract and pay regularly. |

Be careful of these companies that offer to reduce your credit for a fee. I lost $300 because I was laid off from my job about a week after I signed up for their service. I was given no refund. The best thing you can do is to sit down and write out all of your debts and income into separate columns. Stop spending money on things you really don't need. Work out a budget, so much for food, utilities and rent, clothing and personal items. Only you can control what you do with your money. Stay away from high interest credit cards. If you don't have the money for it, you don't need it. You didn't get into debt over night and it will take time to clear it up. Do not give up you will be surprised at how quickly the debt will be reduced once you take control. I know I've been there. I have 2 credit cards with low limits and I pay them down and have no desire to increase the limits because I know I will use them. Good Luck You can do this. |

What totally sucked was the fact that after college I had so much credit card debt that piled up and it was really affecting my credit score. I searched around and tried a few of those debt consolidation sites but found that nothing that I tried really worked. There are legitimate non-profit Credit Counseling organizations you can find in the Yellow Pages of your local phone book. Although they can lower your payments and mitigate interest and late fees, the downside is you have to cut up an credit cards that you have and have to pay them a lump sum every time you are paid, which they in turn send out to creditors. It usually take 5-7 years to clean up your credit even doing this. |
