How can i clear my debt and raise my score?
how would I go about clearing my debt? I have about 2,000 dollars that I owe to an apartment complex that my roomate and i use to live at. they claim we messed up a lot of stuff at the apt..which is so untrue, but its been a long while and i want to pay it, because me credit score is bad because of it. on my credit report it says sky recovery services. is this the company that i call to get my credit fixed? and if so what do i tell them? thanks!!
I'm not sure who sky recovery services is, probably the company you bought your credit report through (I assume). If what is on your credit report is legitimate, there isn't anything you can do to get it taken off. What you can do is get that money you owe to the apartment complex paid off, which will help your credit score (if that debt was reported).

before paying or making any agreements, have them put it WRITING that upon paying the debt, it will be DELETED from your credit report within 30 days. most collection agencies will take your money and never update your credit report.

If your name was on the lease. Take the complex to small claims court. Just like on TV.. Bring suit on them for your damage deposit. They have to show proof at court the cost of your damages. Get out the lease and hang on to it and rent receipts... Fill out the paper work $35 filing charge for court room .You have a room mate for a witness...YOU GO GIRL...
