The credit card company charges monthly interest based on your unpaid monthly balance. These charges accrue whether or not you make a payment. Charges can be eliminated by paying off the entire balance each month before the due date. If you are referring to annual card fees, get another credit card from the many companies that don't charge annual fees. If you have a large balance on your card and can't pay it in full, talk to your bank manager about a personal loan to pay the card off. Cards company's charge up to 30% interest compared to bank loans which are usually about a third of that. |
