Have someone (i.e. your parents, family members, etc) with a good credit history co-sign a loan with you or add you to their credit card. You can build you credit by riding on someone else's credit. However, it is your responsiblity to pay for the purchases that you made with the "borrowed" credit. Or get a secured credit card. |

There is something called a secure credit card. You can go a bank and ask for an application. What it is... you actually pay up front for the card. What ever you put down, that is your credit limit. Then you use the card for 18 months, at the end of the 18 months you get your money back, plus interest. Once you have started using this card 4-5 months, you will begin to get other offers. Only get 3-4 cards, and use them for things that you normally pay for anyways... like phone or cable bill. |

Try getting a secured credit card with your own bank, but the easiest way and the fastest way is to ask your parents to add you on one or two credit cards as authorized user. |

Stop applying for the credit cards, thats one problem alone. Too many inquiries.
Do you have a bank account? Savings? Full time job, that you have been employed at for at least 6 months or better?
Have you lived at the same place for a year, or do you move around?
Start with your bank and ask them what they can help you with, maybe a secured credit card may be one answer right now.
Take a look at your situation and ask yourself would you give yourself a loan?
Good luck. |

The best place I found to start off my credit building process was to go to a small furniture store. Normally what they will do is let you pay half and then you take home and make the monthly payments until paid out. The banks will not consider you for even a small 500.00 loan with no credit score. Stop letting everyone pull your credit history to many inquires play an important part also. I do credit restoration for a company based out of Atlanta, Ga. |

one thing i might try is going to your bank. If you have an established savings and checking account with them and show a consistent history of deposits and not bouncing checks and have some money in a savings account, I would think that maybe your bank offers some kind of visa or mastercard they could offer you with a low credit limit at first and then over time work out a higher limit. |

The one thing you can do, as someone else stated is you can have someone add you to your credit card. Be sure youre added only as an authorized user NOT joint. Ask your mom or dad if they want to help you out by doing this. If the card either of them add you too has years of excellent history. Guess what? When that card company reports to the bureau you reap the benefits of all that history and can significantly boost your score!
I am pretty sure your parents will be a little weary about giving you access to their cards, but simply tell them...I dont want a card I just want the history. Once the new card appears in the mail, they can simply hide it or cut it up so no one can use it.
All this information should appear on your credit report in about a month or so after you have been added. So give it some time and then go ahead and apply for an auto loan or credit card and once youre approved you could have your parents remove you from their card and then you can simply build your credit by yourself |
