The only thing you really can do is file a police report or try to get your bank to refund the money to your account. If they can prove there was any fraud involved (which may require a police report) they may be able to help you. IF they can/will help you, it may be a long and painful journey. Also, report the company to the BBB and any scam posting website you can find. Good Luck. |

You can't cancel a cashed check. You might want to get some sort of legal help if it is really that important to you but I'm sure that would end up costing a lot more than $385 dollars so maybe you should just let it go and never do business with this company again. |

Once the check is cashed, there is nothing you can do. Did you use paypal or another site like that? They often have dispute centers you would file a complaint with. |

You can not cancel a cashed check; however, look up the "Better Business Bureau" and they will most likely get your money back. |

You cannot stop pay a check after the money has already been deducted from your account. You can contact your financial institution to see if you can file a claim but more than likely they will tell you that you have to work it out with the merchant. It really doesn't have anything to do with the bank at this point, it's you and the merchant. If for some reason they continue to not budge on refunding the money or giving you the proper product, you can sue them and take them to court...but then there's lawyer fees and court fees, etc... contact the BBB and see if there's anything else you can do. you can at least file a complaint with the BBB and that makes the company look bad in the future. You paid for specific product and you should get it. Since they made mistake by sending you the wrong product contact them now and showing your request and they must give you the right one and contact your bank as well. |

Did you use E-bay or something else? Everyone who already answered is correct...you can't cancel the check at this point. You may be able to complain to E-bay if that is what you used...they can't do anything but they should know about it. From now on...use Paypal. My dad has been an avid E-bayer and got scammed a few times....a quick call or email to Paypal refunds him his money and then the other person is in trouble with Paypal(I think?). But I know he definitely got his money back from using Paypal when not receiving items, etc.
If it was a company that you purchased something from...I would hassle them about it, seriously. Ask to speak to a manager or supervisor and kindly but firmly explain your position.

you cant. first contact the management & if they wont help, contact their corporate office & try to get results first. if nobody will correct the issue within the company file a small claims lawsuit. good luck. |

I think that once the check is cashed, it can not be cancelled anymore. The only thing I can think of if you can't get them to reconsider, is to take them to small claims court. The more evidence you have, the better for you. |

you cant cancel a check that was already cashed. You can however complain to your bank and see if they have any suggestions for you. |

If they have already cashed it and it has posted your account, then you cannot stop payment on the check. However, there are some other things that you can do. First, if you purchased this item through ebay or paid with pay pal, they have buyer protection. The other thing in which you can do is you can file a claim with your bank. It really depends on the bank's policy. Finally, if you want to go this route, you can take the person to small claims court. If you have proof that they lied about what they sold, you can sue them to enforce the return. Good luck and I hope that this helps! |

you cancel the check through your account if it akready hasn't been cashed, it comes with a fee though, of about $50 if the money hasnt been cashed, call a law firm!!!
