I would personally go to your bank and take out a personal loan for 500$ or 1,000$ and put it right back into your savings, pay on it for 6months out of that money the most out of pocket expense for this shouldn't be more than $30-100 for interest but, pay it up monthly don't jump ahead. Then do it again in 6month and your credit will be great. Good luck to ya. |

when I didn't have credit I applied for a Sears card and I got accepted, but if you choose a credit card you must pay more than the minimum payment to finish the balance quickly, if not the interests will absorb all you minimum payment and the principal balance will only get a misery. |

start out something small...a phone in your name or apply for those credit card with security deposit ( i had them when i was in high school)....and pay your bills on time...it worked for me when the branch told me that i will never get one, i got cards from both cibc and bmo 17 years ago... |

Finance a car. All you need is a job.
Get a secured credit card.
Try store credit cards. They're very high interest, but they tend to overlook bad/no credit.
Update:
By the way, utilities do not go on your report. They only go on if you're deliquent. Utility bills in your name will do nothing to improve your credit. Just pull your credit report. You'll see what I mean. |

first thing that I would do is to buy something on time payments.like pay for something over six to eighteen months. something that will show the credit card companies that you are responsible and able to pay for the use of the card. try to start with somthing like a washer, dryer or somthing that you will use a lot. that sould get you started |
