Learn how to repair your credit. There are many things you can do to improve your credit scores so that you can get better cards...which will improve your scores even more (if you pay them on time, of course.)

just keep using the small credit cards and pay off the balance as it comes due and soon you will be about to hunt with the big dogs.

A Credit card for people with bad credit is a form of borrowing that often involves charges. So it's wise to compare terms and fees before you agree to open a credit or charge card account. Try looking for a credit card<!--with a low APR. Find out the APR because this is the amount charged to you on monthly balances.

Are you overwhelmed with credit card offers and don’t know which one is right for you? Tired of looking for a credit card? Chances are you have received your share of credit card solicitations. Not sure-->which credit cards you should apply for? Shop around because not all credit cards for people with bad credit are created equal.

Well, the first thing you need to do is pay your debts. Your credit is bad for a reason and credit reporting agencies are going to base you score on your ability to pay back debts. They are going to use you history to make this evaluation. So you need to come up with a plan to repay the debts you owe. Paying off the smaller and newer debts first will get you the best bang for you buck but the newer the debt the less of a discount the company who owns the debt will give you. You nee to make a plan to pay the debts off and pay a little as possible. Don't call creditors; let them call you because the outbound collectors can give you a much bigger discount then the inbound collectors. The companies assumes if you are calling the you need to get you credit cleared to buy a house or something like that so they may require you to pay the full amount. Wait for someone to call, if they are rude or demanding then hold out and wait for another company to call. Be professional and work with the person handling your case. Tell them you have little funds and can only pay the minimums then call your account manager back on the last day of the month and make an offer to settle the account in one payment that day via check by phone or cc if you can. All the companies budget monthly and you can usually get your best settlement on the last day of the month. Especially difficult collection months like Nov/Dec. Call Christmas eve and you'll probably get whatever you want. Very important that when you pay your debts they are reported as paid in "full" or to a "zero" balance. If they report them as settled it will help your credit significantly less and in some circumstances may hurt your credit. Make friends with the collector, sell them, they will be more likely to work out a deal for you.

Also, never get store cards each one of those drops your score about 20 points. Make sure you are "never" late again. Plus make sure you do not exceed 30% of the available credit on your cards. Also be aware of the Statute of limitations for your debts. This is the period a company can sue you and get a judgment, lien and wage garnishment.
The period varies by state from 3-15 years and if this happens you can say goodnight to your credit for at least another 10 years. Clearing up older debts will be cheaper but help your credit less. There is no magic pill and there are bunches of scammer who will tell you they can clean up your credit for XXX amount of dollars. What they normally do is dispute the debts and the agency will put the debts on hold for 90's and validate them through the creditor. Since it is your responsibility to proof the debt is not yours they just get added back on in 90's and your score shoots back down.

1- Use your cart once a mount (one time shopping)
2-Keep your cart available not less than 1/2 limited
3- pay more than minimum payment ( if is $20 pay $35)
The important is your cart most have all ways minimum 1/3 of limited available in account even if don't use it.
God blast you and good lock.

Only timely payments will raise your credit score but please leave the credit trap. There is no need for a credit card except to enslave yourself to the credit card companies.

If you have to purchase something on credit you can not afford it to begin with. The only exclusion to this is a house but you don't need a credit score to buy a house. To buy a house without credit you go to a mortgage company that manually underwrites the loan.

Credit cards will not make your life better believe me.

I would like to have a conversation with the thumbs down issuer.... You must work for a collection company not to agree with my answer.
