Have you even checked your credit report to see why you are being turned down?
Go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com
Its the gov't recommended site and scam free.
You get one free report per year, per agency.
So, look at all three.

There are a number of companies that offer unsecured major credit cards. Most of the time you will have be required to pay a small sign up fee. They would normally increase your credit limit once you have paid your payments on time for 6 to 12 months. Never try to apply for a credit card directly from a bank. You must have good credit to get a card from a bank. You will need to get a list of marketing companies that offer bad credit or no credit, major bank card programs. |

First do as the other posters have suggested and pull your 3 credit reports. Also try capitalone.com. They actually have a preapproval first and after filling out form will show you what cards you might be approved for. |

A secured line of credit credit card through your local bank is your best bet - but there must be a reason why you are being turned down.
Recommend getting a debit card (it's the same as a credit card in the fact you can reserve hotels/rental cars, buy on-line, etc.) because it has a VISA or MC association with it. It will also only let you spend what you have in the bank - which may help you get a better footing financially.
I'm not a gambler but if I were I would bet that you have a difficult time saving money and spend on things you DON'T need. Start a budget and get some money in the bank - it feels great not to worry about where the money is coming from when your car needs repair or your washer breaks down. |

There are many credit cards available to people with poor / no credit. Orchard Bank and First Premier are two of the most popular issuers. You'll also have to decide between 'secured' and 'unsecured'. Since you won't pay a security deposit with an unsecured credit card, I would try that first.

Just get a guranteed approval card, check out the link. It will help you build your credit and eventually you will be able to get a card from a major company, if you apply through applyfastbankcards you can get paid$20. |

I've never done it but suppose you reapplied and attached a separate note requesting a minimum credit limit of $500.00, explaining that is all you need for now. As a former creditman, who started out approving applications, it certainly would catch my eye for approval. That is, as long as you had long established residency, were working, and had nothing untoward in your backround. And yes, you would have to be over 21. |
