Companies have been calling my number for a person sho had the number before...fair enough...but it has been a year since I got this number. The same companies are calling. I have threatened to report them, but they keep calling. WHat can I do? |

When they call again, get the name and address of the company and the person you are talking to. Inform them they have the wrong phone number, and to cease calling.
Then send a certified letter to the Agency.
If the calls continue you can sue them in small claims court. Contact me if you need assistance or advice on how to do this. |

Oh, I hate that! I had that happen for a few months. Finally, they woke me up early one morning and I just SCREAMED at them! The guy kept saying, "Calm down, Ma'am. Ma'am, calm down, please." And I screamed, "You're calling my number day after day, even though you know it's the wrong number, and you're telling me to calm down? You mother effer!" And so forth and so on. They never called again. |

Depending on what state you live in you can report them to the state government office. In Ky you can call Frankfort to report phone spam they will contact the companys that are callingyou. Make sure the next time you get a call, have there name and the name of the company. |

This has been happening to us for almost a year. I finally told them that "said person" is not at this number, that I'd requested them not to call again, have taken their company name and if they call me again I'll have my lawyer after them for harrassment.
Has worked so far but now and again new companys call. |

I don't know but I had the same problem. This person kept calling my cell phone and when I tried to explain that I didn't know the person they wanted they then began questioning me, as if I was lying. They called me for months. |
