If you didn't authorize debits, you immediately contact your bank. |

sounds like one of those credit protection plans from amx or some other card. Is there a number listed that you can call? If not, get hold of your bank and talk to them. |

No idea what they are, but you should talk to your bank as if its a fraudulent transaction they might be able to refund it, and prevent any further payments being made. |

Contact your bank and ask for more details. They can usally tell you which company they are for. I had the same problem, with car insurance - it showed on my statement as BISLBACS and was actually Norwich Union!!!! |

Probably Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) for a credit card or something and/or an extended warranty for something you bought years ago that you signed up for but forgot about
I usually cancel the DD and the payee gets in touch. If its of use to you, renew the DD or just ignore them! |

If your bank doesn't know they WILL have a phone number or address for you to get in touch with the firms concerned. Depends on bank you use how helpful they are. My bank found out this info for me free of charge depends on your bank whether they charge for helping you or not.
Some firms work under one name but use another name for their banking making it confusing for customers.
If all else fails you can always cancel the DD and the firm will soon get in touch with you about non payments. So go see your bank or phone your bank |

Paymentshield is a UK insurance company that specializes in home mortgage insurance.
You can call you bank and tell them you didn't authorize the debits. They should be able to give you the contact information of the drawer on your account.
I have done this before with unknown charges on my credit card statements, and they have always been able to give me that information. |

I usually just google them.
First Assist is an insurance company as well.
If you can't remember taking out any such insurance speak to your bank and ask for more details - sometimes there might be a reference number which might relate to your insurance policy.
If you really didn't take out insurance then tell your bank you want to claim the funds back under the direct debit guarantee. |

eBay / Paypal used the terms payment <xxxxx> with the x's being who you paid.
But it might not be, go to your bank they can trace where they go and when they were set up and all the info you should need to work it out or stop them |

Some telephone solicitors ask if they can send you information about their plan, they say you are under no obligation and then they sign you up. |

could be insurance on your bank account or debit cards. If it's only paid once a year then thats most likely. Call into the bank and ask before you just cancel them |
