You can put money into an ATM as people have listed... however, it is up to your bank to decide how much, if any, of that money you put in will be available to you immediately. For example, I can deposit any cheque in at an ATM machine, however, my bank only makes a maximum of $600 available to me immediately for purchases with my debit card. If you don't have something set up like this with your bank, look into it. Otherwise, you money will be held for 5 business days to ensure that the check clears before the bank releases the funds. So yes you can put money on your debit card through an ATM, but you have to have it set up with your bank... And to do that, there should be an 800 number on the back of your bank card that you can call to speak to a representative. |

To have a debit card u must have a checking account . U have to make deposits to them through the bank you're with. At the bank you would fill out a deposit slip and have cash ready to give to the bank teller. Then he/she would deposit that money into your account and immediately u could use your card. |
