Avoid freecreditreport.com. They make you buy other things to get your reports.

Go to annualcreditreport.com. By federal law, you are entitled to one free report per year from each of the 3 agencies. Annualcreditreport.com is the only site that is authorized to provide this service.

The report is free, but you need to pay for your score. Should range about 5.95 - 7.95 for each agency. There is no site that will give you the score for free.

If you've recently been denied for credit, had your credit adversely affected (e.g., reduced limit), or been a victim of fraud (e.g., ID theft), you are also entitled to a free report, regardless of whether you already received your free yearly report. For this, contact the 3 agencies directly.

Please use

It is the site that is approved by the government and allows you access to all three credit bureaus (experian, equifax, and transunion).

Please note: Credit report is FREE. Your credit score (FICO score) is never free. Now you are in the know.

freecreditreport.com does not ask for a credit card. You are entitled to one free copy online per year and any time you are declined credit, whoever declined you has to provide you with a copy if you request it.

Do a web search for 'free credit report' and you should get infomation on a government site that you can get a free credit report for your self from each of the three major credit reporting agencies, free once per year. HOWEVER, they make you pay for your credit score. If you just want to check if the information they have on you is accurate, then do that and don't bother with your credit score. You might be able to find out your credit score, if you want that, by inquiring about a car loan, the auto dealer will run your credit report and may tell you your score (you should not be under any obligation to actually buy a car or actually take out a loan if you do not want to). Remember, everytime someone checks your credit, for whatever reason, your credit score will go down, so I have heard anyway (that is just the way it is, don't know why).
