try to get one secured linked with your bank account. In the U.S you can get from some banks secured Visa or Master Card by opening savings account and depending on how much you despoit, that will be your credit limit. So for ex, if you deposit $500 then you have $500 credit limit. And of course you cannot take money from that savings account. |

Getting a credit card, and adding to the bad credit issue may not be your best bet. Getting the new credit card, actually, is not that hard. What will be difficult is paying the high fees and interest rates that go along with bad credit. If you take a minimum of six months to improve your credit first, it will help you in the long run. There are more that a few lenders who specialize in credit cards for people with bad credit. You just have to look a little harder than most people have to.
And getting a card after you've had a few problems doesn't necessarily mean that you have a higher than normal rate. Like, I said, you'll just have to compare between credit lines, yearly fees, and interest percentages. Just make sure you do your homework BEFORE you commit, and you'll be fine.
