I used my Dads credit card through pay pal, and he just found out, in total i think i wasted about $160, but the money was wasted in breaks trying to see if he doesn't notice. For a while it went well, but noe he sound out, i got a call from him and he said that he only saw 2 different payments one for $12 and another for $10.25, i have lied already and said that i haven't bought anything, a couple hours later the pay pal account was closed, did he find out about all the other payments, im not sure i haven't gotten a call. what should i do? |

His credit card statements will tell him exactly how much you spent and what day you spent it. Your spending will be buried among all the other things he bought on the card, so he may not see all of them. He is probably now looking through all his statements like a hawk, trying to figure out how many times you ripped him off. I suggest you come clean and tell him how many times you stole from him. If you keep lying to him, he is going to start suspecting that you have been ripping him off for a lot more than $160. He will wonder for the rest of his life if there are other times you ripped him off that he did not catch, and always be suspicious. Come clean and tell him everything you did now, and pay him back with interest. |

Lying will only make things worse. Just call your dad and tell him what you did. Make a plan for repaying what you owe him. Trust me - Thanksgiving dinner will taste much better without the guilt. |

Own up to it right away. Make sure you do it in an apologetic manner. There is a criminal investigation going on and all arrows point to you then you're in trouble with the federal law. If you let him know and he stops the investigation then you'll only be in trouble from him. |

PLEASE tell your dad now....if you dont, he will think that someone stole his credit card. If he notifies the police of this (which I would if I were him) then it is going to be a bigger mess then if you just own up to this now.
Once the police get involved, it will be harder for him to forgive since they might MAKE him prosecute you and ultimately he will have to pay even more if there are court costs and attorneys fees required in that matter.
Tell your dad what happened. Write him a note if you are afraid to face him. Be sure to include what you will do to pay this back.

Be a big girl, admit what you did, and pay the money back. Ethic are what you do when no one is looking. If you don't pay all the money back, you still have to live with yourself. Can you do that, knowing you are screwing your father over? I couldn't. |
