On the computer or real life?
On the computer there really is no way to verify age. Any one can use Daddy's credit card, so thats not proof. Maybe some day they'll have some sort of fingerprint or retinal scanning for home computers, but as of now, the sites just ask for age verification to cover themselves legally (if the users choose to lie about their age, the site isn't held responsible).
