Дredit repair workеd fine to fix my credit. They disputed and removed lots of bad items from my credit report. I used this service - freecreditreport.hotusa.org

Check your credit reports you can get em annually for free- Dispute anything on there that you disagree with./ You should also check your credit scores. Open a bank account. they may be able to offer you a cc. Dont charge everything-that is ridiculous. Pay more than the amount due always. Getting a secured cc can also help-check into that,. but you actually have to put the money on it and stuff---look into it- its a good start.

Bad credit takes time to heal. If you have any sort of credit like a car loan, a house loan, a bank loan, a school loan etc... and you continue to pay on time then in due time you will increase your credit score.

If you want a credit card now then you can possibly be approved through creditors like Providian and Capital One. They usually help those with lower credit scores. Keep in mind though, economy is bad right now and all banks are tightening up their belts as far as giving credit. That may also hinder your chances as of now getting a credit card.

But Good luck and be patient!

How do you have bad credit? What caused it?

First things you need to do is gain a copy of your credit reports (Trans Union, Equifax and Experian). Ensure all information is correct. if there are errors, begin researching the errors, making calls and writing letter to fix them. Report all errors to the credit reporting agencies and have the errors noted and begin the dispute process with them also.

If you have negative information on your report, you need to play the waiting game before they come off. Most come off in 7 years (charge off et al). if you owe people money, make deals to have the money lessened and pay the debt.

You r debt to credit ratio also comes into play. Try to receive a CC for people who have less then stellar credit. Capital 1 has these cards (at least they did). You will pay a fee and then will be given a very low credit limit. Be responsible with the card(s) and you will increase your score. DO NOT APPLY TO MANY CARDS! Every time you allow a company to run your credit, your score drops. if you run a lot of the same type of inquiries, it will drop even more. 1 or 2 cards will be sufficient. Use them a little and gain pay them. Get a good credit history with your cards and you will see your score rise.

It does not happen over night.

They have credit cards for bad credit. The catch thou is that they have annual fees and most make you either pay deposit or make charges too your card that you have to buy off before you can use whatever credit limit they give you. Unfortunately this is the only way i think you can help get your credit up, besides time.

they are doing you a favor by refusing you credit. you don't want it. use cash . if you don't have the cash go without . we all need to live within our means.

Never payoff your balance. just make the minimum payment every month on time like clockwork and watch your credit score go through the roof.

get a credit card with a high interest rate and charge EVERYTHING. then pay it off every month so you don't have to pay the interest. that's what I did.

you can also get a car loan or school loan for college. these two things help your credit score just by having them and paying them off on time. In the case of the school loan you don't pay it off until after you graduated and have a job!
