If you filed for Chapter 7, it will stay on your credit report for 7 years. If you filed for Chapter 13, it will stay on your credit report for 7 years after you have made your payments and it was finalized (usually for a total of 10 years). IF the BK is older than that, then send a dispute to the credit reporting agency. You can still try to dispute it before that time, but chances are you will not be successful in removing it, as it is a part of public record and as long as it is a part of public record, the CRA can verify it without a problem! |

you can't, its part of the pros's & con's of declairing
bankruptcy. Instead, you need to show how good you have
been, since that event, regarding anything that has to
do with your credit. |

You don't. The bankruptcy will remain on file for years to notify all prospective creditors that you are a poor credit risk and they should not lend you money or grant you a credit card. Next time pay your debts. |

You CAN'T unless you know somebody on the inside... Takes 7 yrs. to clear your record but you need to follow-up on that! |

You can't. I've seen bankruptcies on credit reports that were 18 years old. Didn't affect their credit but it did show up. |

Time is the only legal way to remove it. 7 to 10 years depending on the reporting agency. |

Instead of trying to remove it, you may try using it as a tool to show your positive growth. |

You cannot, it takes 7 to 10 years to fall off. |
