Is there any kind of pros and cons about platinum cards I should know about? How do they work EXACTLY? What are the benefits and not the benefits?
Almost every credit card issuer has some version of the platinum card. These are reserved for people who have excellent credit and who are eligible for high spending limits. The amount of the limit varies with the company. They are generally like every other credit card (although you would have to read the conditions issued by each company for specifics) except for the prestige factor. Whip out one of those babies and you get attention!

Platinum what? The various colors of credit cards are just marketing ploys. You can have the same interest rates and limits in any color card. It's all based on your creditworthiness.
Now if you have been offered some kind of credit card that isn't a Visa or Mastercard or other major logo, it's probably a catalog card and worthless. You can only use it for overpriced catalog items.
