The government has mandated that each of the three credit reporting agencies must provide each adult with a free copy of their credit report annually. You don't need a credit card to get the report and the report will show not just credit card accounts, but also loans, etc. To request your free reports, go to:

This is the official site to use and there is no cost. If you go to the site in the cute commercials with the three singing guys, they make you sign up for a reporting service that they charge for. Why pay for something you by law get for free? |

To obtain a credit report without paying, never use any site that requires a credit card or that has "free" in its address. By using any of those sites, you agree to something for which you will be charged later if you do not cancel in time. |

I do not have a credit card so i could not get one but you can get a free credit report,to get a credit check i had to go to my bank and get a special telephone number and get a money order at the bank for $18.00 and 2 to 3 weeks later i had my credit check and boy!! i am glad i did it!! to get your fee report google free credit checks and you will get addresses to fill out out,do not worry you have to print off the forms you fill out and mail in ,the old fashion way,that way nobody can get your information!!good luck!! |

You never need a credit card to obtain your credit report. Simply look up the telephone number for one of the three credit reporting agencies: Transunion, Equifax or Experian. You are permitted to have one free credit report per year. You can probably do this online also. |
