I used to tear them in 2 and put each piece in a different bin bag (one being a really messy one in the kitchen or the bathroom!), then I got a shredder, but it kept jamming, so I'm back to the first method! Some of them actually have the whole 16-digit number on! |

I work for a building society you should take them into whoever you bank with and ask them to dispose of them in their confidential waste I'm sure they won't mind and it will prevent fraud on your accounts. |

after hearing about yobs picking papers up from rubbish dumps a few years ago i got a shredder from Tesco for a tenner,now i know it would take lots of time to sort that out so i`m happier with that. |

Have you tried getting a new shredder, think the cross shredders are better, i didn't think slips were meant to have the whole 16 digit No. Should only have the last 3 or 4. pour water over them, the print on the slips should fade away if you use your hands in the water and just keep crumpling them up till they are done. that was just a brainwave, but may work |

You need a better shredder! I can put 7 pages in at a time and mine has never jammed. As thin as a credit card slip is, how many are you trying to shred at the same time? |

Try one of the cross cut shredders, that's what I use and it works really well. Also, try not to put more than 2-3 pieces of paper through at the same time. |

My girlfriend is grossed out by this but I usually just pop em' into my mouth and chew em' up until they look like tiny little pieces of gum and then spit them out. By that time, if someone wants to try and get my cc numbers off them, good luck! lol. |
