Using paypal is 100% free.

UNLESS

You sign up as a seller account and want to accept credit cards or debit cards... Then it costs you an additional 3% on top of whatever the total of the transaction is.

So if you sell a *Thing* on ebay for $10.00 and accept a credit card it will cost you $3.00 to finish the transaction.

To use paypal you can hook your bank account or credit card to your paypal account so you can shop online and never need to expose your real account numbers.

If you are scammed, paypal will investigate and refund your money.

They are an awsome company.

Most sellers want paypal and paying with paypal offers protection against fraud. Go to paypal. com and Read, read and read more. it explains everything there.

Before you start buying on ebay, you need to know how it works. take the tutorials and read the policies.

You setup an account with paypal using your credit card or checking account and then Paypal pays the person you are sending money to.....therefore the other party never sees your account numbers, etc. Very safe.

Paypal helps with it so that you don't get identity theft. Pretty much you give them your credit card number and pay items through them. Pretty much a middle man so that some guy in china doesn't get a hold of your credit card number. And its really easy, just sign in and it lets you pay automatically.

Paypal is the best because you can make a purchase without having the buyer see your personal credit card information. They do charge a fee for ever transaction; it is also great if you have a dispute, such as credit card fraud because they will work hard to get you back your money or resolve the issue.

i dont know about paypal, but ebay is a trust site, you pay, he gets the money and then sends the thing, so its not 100% secure.

Last time I checked, all you need for paypal is a credit card or bank account, and it's very userfriendly :)

Also, it's up to the seller what kind of payment they accept.

I gave my credit card number to paypal. When I purchase something, I click paypal, put in a PIN, and they pay the seller for me. The seller never sees my credit card number, which is a good thing in my opinion.

Many of the sellers only accept paypal, which is why I got started with it, but it works fine. It isn't difficult. It's probably a lot easier than any other way.
