Borrowers with a credit score over 700 are typically offered more financing options and better interest rates, but don't be discouraged if your scores are lower, because there's a mortgage product for nearly everyone.

The most important cut-offs are

below 680
680-720
720 and higher

680-720 should get you a decent rate, but 720 will get you the best rate possible.

To have a low interest rate you need a credit score of 700+ that is considered excellent or tr1.

Frank Castle
I suggest you to increase your credit score to a number above the National Average.

Don't waste your time.
I have an immaculate credit score and couldn't get $18,000 unsecured credit consolidation

to get a good intrest rate you have to have good credit

Apple had a bad week.
Fairly good, I would imagine. Probably a score of 650 - 700.

If you have good credit you will get a better interest rate. Simple as that. Consolidation is the smart thing to do regardless of your credit standing. But remember, pay those debts off. Pay a little extra every month will give you a better score than just paying the minimum.
Good luck!

Wow! Some of the ignorance among people giving advice is scary!!!!
Look, the simple answer is that in order to get an unsecured debt consolidation loan (aka a personal loan) you need either a high credit score (740 and up which if you had you probably wouldn't need the loan in the first place) or a very good relationship with a particular lender.
The question which should be answered BEFORE you start looking for a loan is "do I really need one." Remember how credit scoring systems work. It's best to have several open accounts all carrying balances less than 50% of your credit limit and to make your payments on time every time. This is the single fastest way to build your credit score up to a point where you can get lower interest cards into which you can transfer your balances from the higher rate cards. In fact, you also be able to negotiate a lower rate from the cards you already have!!
Taking and combining all of your debts into one loan is the exact opposite of what you should be doing. AND DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT A SECOND MORTGAGE OR HOME EQUITY LOAN. Despite all of the hype for such things you are placing a lien on something which already has a lien on it!! Kills your score.
