How hard is it to get an apartment if I have no credit and my roommate has bad credit?

Sam
It'll probably be pretty difficult - even if you do find a place that'll let you rent, you'll have a huge deposit to pay.

Depends on where you live. If your roomie has bad credit, then apply for it on your own, but you will probably have a big deposit and need to pay first and last months rent in advance

See if your parents will let you move in with them.

the first that you got to do is contact the apartment facility .. if your credit doesnt meet their requirements some of those places are strict... your job, your income, are going to fall into place as well.. good luck.. been there done that... i am so glad my renting days are over....

Woopyalecris
pretty hard!

Psycomagnet
It'll be easier for you, without credit, than roomie with bad credit. Either way you gonna pay some extra...

Instead of moving in with your parents, why don't you see if they can co-sign on the lease for you? It really depends upon how hard the management of the apartment complex is....that's a private policy decision. Other than discrimination for prohibitted federal reasons, they can rent to whomever they choose. The more references you can give them reflecting that you are a responsible person, the more likely they are to rent to you.

go online type in your question on ask.com and look for buying apartments or get a number to ring an estate agents.

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.

I will hereby talk from my personal experience.

I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :

http://umgarticles.atspace.com/debt-consolidation.htm

if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!

Not very hard if you aren't looking for the best place in town. Fill out a couple apps and don't tell them about your credit. You will get accepted somewhere.
