I got my free credit report on-line from the 3 credit bureaus from truecredit.com. but they didn't give me a credit score. they wanted me to pay $7.95 or something like that. you can view the details of your report on line and print it for 30 days with a user name and password. transunion shows the report on line and the other 2 sent me my info through the mail to then look up it up on line. |

You need to try and establish a history. A history is when you have at least 4 lines of credit (one of them can be a loan - like say an autoloan). These lines of credit must have been open and used for at least 6 months, ideally a year. Before an institution is going to let you borrow a lot of money, they want to see at least 4 reputable companies that say that a particular borrower has responsibly paid their bill on time.
A few people have given you tips on getting your free credit report. I usually just get them from one of the 3 bureaus - either equifax, experian or transunion. You can get the report for free - but your score will cost money to get. That is how they make money. Get your reports and go over them with a fine tooth comb. Make sure every thing about them is right. If you have judgements, and unpaid debts - that is bad. Make sure they don't have anyone elses accounts on your report. You can get free reports once yearly and also if you were rejected for employment or a credit card based on your credit.
Get your lines of Credit. You might need to put money down for a secured card for a year or so. Look them up at www.bankrate.com. Get a few store cards or gas cards. The interest rate is high on these - but you need to start somewhere. If you just pay them down every month you won't have to pay the interenst rate. Use these lines of credit. But keep you balance below one third of the limit. This shows responsibility. Certainly never max out a card. |

Go to Radio Shack and get a prepaid credit card for a small amount say $100. Then you can use it online with no connection to your other banking and the prepaid amount is the most anyone can get from you. You can also buy this type card from American Express to take on vacation or use on line. |

Call one of the credit bureaus by telephone and request it. I believe they give you 1 free per year each. |

You don't have bad credit, it is that you don't have credit at all. When i wanted to have credit I got an MBNA credit card. They will give it just about to anyone, and their intrest rate and APR are pretty low. |

You are entitled to 1 free credit report from each agency each caledar year. The website is https://www.annualcreditreport.com
Also, if you think fraud is being committed, you get a free report. You just need to call and advise them of your suspicion. Also, if you apply for credit, and are denied, you are entitled to a free report from the agency where the report was received from. You will get the information in a denial letter. |

You wont get the credit score free but you can get the report of who you owe free. Go to www.annualcreditreport.com and fill out all the questions. They will take you to another page to get the results. Also, if you are cheap like me go to www.freecreditreport.com and they have a 30 day trial. I got my score and called and cancelled two weeks later. You do have to give them your debit card # but they wont charge you if you cancel before 30 days. The first one I gave you is very good. |

Well, you can have a credit line even without opening a credit card. Your credit is also determined by the on-time payments of your bills, and some of your other monthly cycle expenses such as your cell-phone. You are entitled to a free yearly check of each of the three credit agencies. Just go to www.Anualcreditreport.com and get it for free. Here is a piece of advice... you don't have to pay for any of the extra stuff that they offer you... Not worth it. Just get the reports. |

It's because you have NO credit. Start with a pre-paid credit card. That's where you pay into the card, and then have a limit on how much you can spend. Then, USE it. Even if you don't need to. Use it, pay it on time, get a better credit rating. Before you know it, you'll have graduated on to gold cards, platinum cards and perhaps even, if your good, the molybdenum card! |
