The same amount of time as if you didn't pay it off, an item remains on your credit report for 7yrs regardless of the negative or positive account activity unless it is an ongoing/open/active account excluding bankruptcy which remains for 10yrs |

Usually 7 years unless you use credit repair. . Usually companies charge hundreds of dollars to simply pull your credit and send correctly worded dispute letters—this is the key…..people will tell you that you can do this yourself for free but the truth of the matter is that the credit bureaus will throw your letters away or simply reject them. There is an easy to use online kit that will deliver the results you want available for just $19.95 at the source website. A similar kit is being sold via infomercials and radio talk shows for seventy dollars more but they try to solicit you repeatedly for other services after the fact. |

It depends on if the credit was in good standings, a repo, or a bankrupt. I know from experience that a repo takes at least 7-10 yrs to be removed. And a bankrupt depends on chapter 13 or chapter 7. And also depends on if it is like a doctor bill or a electric/phone bill. Those can come off as soon as they are paid and a receipt is sent in. However as stated previously, basic credit depends on many things such as the credit standings, the company, and the credit union
Stay up to date on your credit report, identity theft is everywhere and your life can depend on your credit. |

Equifax.com has all of the official answers, but I believe Judgements are 7 years and regular charge offs are 3 years. |

I paid one account off and was reported "paid" in less than 2 weeks. When I sent the last payment I ask them to please report it the credit bureu. If it doesn't show as paid call the bureu and tell them |

You will get credit for it the moment your account is updated, however, the history will remain for around 7 years. |

In Arizona, after the creditor contacts the credit bureau saying the debt has been paid, (this usually takes at least 2 weeks, due to processing) it takes about another month to show up as paid, (again due to processing) on your credit report.
It continues to be reported on your credit report however, for seven years. People really have no idea how important it is to keep a clean credit report. It really should be taught in high school Consumer Education classes. |

It will still show on your credit report even after you've paid it off. It will show as a P&L write off. It will be like for 7 years before that is taken off. It doesn't look as bad as having an unpaid collection, but I'm afraid it still does not look good. |

3 to 7 years and it depends on the credit agency. |

after you pay it off get a receipt and send a copy of the receipt to each credit union place and then it will be off in 90 days other wise it can take up to a year.
Good luck with that, credit sucks. |
