Make sure your write to all 3 major credit bureau after 7 years and inform them the statue of limitations is up and you request they delete it. they will probably delete it for you... If not, they may write to you and say no, we are keeping it on there for 10 years.. In that case make sure you follow up in 10 years.. Keep on them and periodically write and ask it to be deleted after 7 years..You may get someone else looking at it at the credit bureaus who will go ahead and delete it... It has worked for me in the past
