It will appear online, but it depends on how long it takes the store to process it. I have returned things at the grocery store that showed up on the same day. On the other hand, when a rental car company issued a refund to my credit card, it took a couple of weeks.
Contact the store that did the return, they can be more specific as to how long it should take. |

If you returned the item in person, and you received a printout from the store with a credit for your card, then it should be there that day on line or the next.
If you had to have something shipped back, then figure on two weeks. |

The quickest would be 24 hours. If they swipe your card or a return like at Home Depot where they go off the bar code from the recipts it should show online in 24 to 48 hours excluding weekends.
If it is a written refund request that is not processed electronically infront of you it could take much longer. Fortunately this is done electronically almost every where. |

Legally, the company has up to 30 days to issue the credit. After the credit has been issued, it can take 2-5 days for the credit to process and appear on your account. |
