Ch 7 stays on for 10 years and ch 13 stay on for 7 years(from the DATE YOU FILED). All of the creditors involved in your bankrutcy will (or should)fall off at the required time rather you filed or not. After BK is discharged creditors are required by law to update your report as being paid and owing nothing.

Bankruptcy will stay on your credit report for 7-10 years. So to be on the safe side, expect a 10 year wait.

You absolutely must monitor your credit, especially in the case of a bankruptcy. Make sure everything that's supposed to be removed is actually removed.

If a debt is supposed to be removed in 30 days, stay on them. Companies love to add to your report, but they are often very slow to remove damaging information.

7-10 years for bankruptcy. Chapter 7 stays for 10 years and Chapter 13 is generally 7 years but can go 10 depending on the creditor.

†lifeonloan†
depending upon what chapter you file under, it will stay 7-10 years. if you honor a repayment plan, it will show as being paid out

SCH is correct as far as she goes.

Chapter 7 shows for 10-years and chapter 13 shows for 7-years.

They will stay on your report for 7 to 10 years but do not despair. If you start fresh and pay everything promptly from this point forward, don't run up any more credit cards etc. Then in about 3 years (from discharge) you will be able to qualify for "A" paper for buying a house etc.

Credit agencies stores information from credit grantors and public records, including bankruptcies, judgments and liens. Missed payments and most public record items remain on the credit report for seven years, with the exception of Chapter 7, 11 and 12 bankruptcies, which remain for 10 years, and unpaid tax liens, which remain for up to 15 years.

Active positive information may remain on the report indefinitely.

Requests for your credit history remain on the credit report for up to two years.
