I have 2 one with a smaller limit that I use regularly and pay full amount each month and one with an extremely high limit that I do not use because it is great for my debt to credit ratio and increases my FICO score

My rule: As few as possible, but not fewer. =)

For me, this means...

One personal and one corporate AmEx, so I can keep my business expenses separate, and AmEx gives me the best rewards.

One personal and one corporate debit MasterCard. For the ATM and the few places that don't take AmEx.

I also have a low-interest Visa card stashed away, in case I ever need to carry a balance. I don't usually use it, though, because I prefer the rewards I get with AmEx, and I don't want one more card to keep track of each month.

None I buy everything with money or a check! I don't need money that comes from plastic! That is what bank acconts and jobs are for so you don't have to have a credit card!
