How many of you haven't got a single thing on Credit this Christmas?
Everyone I know is having A credit Christmas and will be paying it off till next Christmas....what is the point?

We havent got a single thing on Credit because we start buying again just after Christmas and have a damn site more than we would if we were getting stuff on Credit.

Nothing on credit...all paid for in cash! I haven't used a credit card for 4 years now - and to be honest...I HATE them!!

Much easier to live with a debit card and cash!

I use a credit card purely for convenience. I won't be still paying it off next Christmas. The card is for convenience only and will be able to afford to pay it off in full by my January statement date. I wouldn't buy things that I couldn't pay off.

I carry one to avoid cash in my pocket and pay it off in full at the end of every month. But millions of people will be struck hard again in January not knowing that they are paying over 20% on any unpaid balance...so an item on "sale" ends up costing much more!!!
And I think, "on sale" items are still overpriced!!!??!!! It's a marketing ploy.

Doctor Deth
me - i only pay cash - I'm not spending tons of money, maybe $300-400 between my kids and my parents, plus I bought a shopping cart full of toys and donated them to Toys for tots - that was $120+, and gave $100 to a co worker who had a house fire, so she could get some clothes

Seafret1412
I haven't, but, with the financial situation being the way it is and people having kids and not wanting to upset them, I can understand why some people do turn to credit.

There are massive job losses here in the North East, Nissan, Woolworths, Mark one and others have all gone down - those poor people will still want to give their family a Christmas.

I feel for them at this time of year.
Merry Christmas

No credit here! We set up a Christmas Club with our credit union last year so the money came out and we blew it ... no regrets and no interest!!!

tanika971
I don't, i start early in the year to get my gifts and save for any more expensive ones, which i get last, its a lot less stressful, and easier on the old pocket.

We are now in the lucky position where we owe nothing and have no need to buy anything on credit. Sounds great but we live just on our pensions so haven't got money to throw about

I paid it all with cash, all saved.
Last year in the sales i bought a big Tree for a quarter of the price, & the decorations, cards & tags. This year i will get my cards & stuff in the sales, why pay full price.
We have also given each other cash for pressies, so we can hit the sales for the clothes & electrical pressies.
Happy Christmas.

Missy C
I don't have a credit card or an overdraft... so all paid up front for me!!

No chance,
I was saving £15 a month for Xmas and will do the same for next month.

andy
The only thing that I bought on credit this year was my grandmother's gift online. I then immediately took that money off of my checking account and put it on my credit card payment. I am still in the process of paying off car repairs and moving expenses or else my credit card would be payed off.
