Pay in full if you can. If you can't pay it all, then pay as much as you can.
Credit card debt has the highest interest of anything except maybe the pawn shop. If you can get a bank loan at lower interest to pay off your credit card debt, do it.
Credit cards should be used for convenience, not for credit. |

At least their minimum - specified on your monthly statement. You should make it a habit to pay at least $5 more than your minimum, PLUS the full amount of any NEW charges you incurred that month - that way, you'll pay down your balance faster. |

As much as absolutely possible. Pay it off completely if you can, but if things are tight, pay at the very least the minimum and do it on time to prevent hurting your credit record. Also, keep in mind that when you do carry a balance over from month to month, it actually becomes more expensive for you to "borrow" this money, as credit card companies typically have high interest rates they charge. |

Look at what you pay in interest every month. $18-$30 a month might not seem like a lot, you might even pay more than that in a month in interest, but it really starts to add up. $30 might be your electric bill you could've paid, you know? Get the balance down as soon as you can. |

You should always try to pay it off in full. If that is not possible (if you spent more than you make), then make sure you pay some on the principle and don't use the card any more until it is paid off. Then only charge what you know you can pay when the bill comes. |

The first thing you should do is sit down and write down the name of each of your credit cards the balance and interest rates. then after the minimum payment is made to each of them, apply every extra penny you can to the high interest card. once it is paid start making extra payments on the next highest interest card. you should update your list every month because your interest rates can change significantly |
