Usually 18, but not always. The credit card or debit card is not just an application but also a contract. When you enter a contract you must be of minimum legal age to do so which in most cases is 18. However there are some exceptions. THe most common exception is to get a joint account with either a parent or guardian and have a card issued in your name. The parent or guardian becomes the legal owner and sole responsibility for the account but you could get a card with your name on it. |

I work for wachovia and you have to be 18, visa will not give anyone that is under that age a debit card, however you can have a atm card |

You can be 13 to get your own Debit Card (in Arizona) It might be different in some states, I would suggest calling your local bank
