The first thing that I did was consolidate my credit cards. This will bring your monthly payments down. Then start putting as much money as you can each month towards paying it off.
Other suggestion, if you are paying off a car, sell it and get something cheaper. Don't eat out as much. Get a second job.
Hope this helps. But consolidation seems to work. I went through a credit union, but there are some reputable consolidation services out there. Just look into them before you sign anything. |

Take $150-200 aside every month and apply that to your highest interest credit card. As you pay a card off, apply the amount you were paying to that card (plus the extra $150-200) to the next card. When you pay it off, apply the money from those two cards (plus the $150-200) to the next card, and so on. |

You need to restructure your debt so you are paying the least amount of interest possible then pay off your debt slowly and destroy your credit cards and stop borrowing. |

First ask yourself how much debt your in
Then consider filing bankruptcy if you owe too much.
If you have a good paying job then you can sacrifice for two years with bogus credit and stash you dollars until the waiting period is over. ESP. if you credit score is falling anyway. That bad debt late payments and all stays on your credit for seven years anyway so why pay them. |

There is a perfect way to get out of debt. You can do it by yourself. Do not use any credit repair services because they will only rip you off. They will charge you fees for doing something you can do anyway. Go to this websitehttp: http://debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=28547, and it will show you samples letters, and techniques to repair your credit. It's free!!!Also there are message boards with people who give good advice about credit repair. They've been through the same thing your going through now, and can show the best way to get out it. |

There are debt relief services out there that can hep you manage you debt and help you get back on track. There should be one in your area.
What they do is gather all your bills together, contact the people you owe money to and form an agreement so that you only have one bill instead of many.
There are also information on the web that can give you tips on how to be debt free. I have included on of my favorites below.
Good Luck! |

Cut all your credit cards---now!!!!!! (Well, okay, keep one--and only one--for emergencies). This will prevent you from racking up more debt on top of what you already have.
Also, you can ebay items that you no longer need or really like--use paypal and you can put that $ directly into your bank account to pay off bills and such.
Lastly, and you may think this is scraping the barrel, but save your plastic bottles and cans that have a deposit and turn them in if you live in a state that gives 5-10 cents per return. Otherwise contact a recycling center--they pay you for all metals by the pound and for batteries too. Trust me, it adds up. |
