I suggest you to get a second job and sell everything you have (Including your bed) and start buying everything little by little (This time with your own cash) |

They've changed the bankruptcy laws so that's a lot harder now. There are nonprofit agencies that will negotiate with your credit card companies to lower the interest rate so you can pay off the loans. Watch out for the for profit ones that promise you don't have to pay anything and charge big fees. You also have to do things like stop eating out, bring your lunch to work, rent your DVDs for free at the library, don't take trips, etc. to cut your expenses so you have more money to pay down your debt. With that much debt you will have to get another job. |

What kind of income do you have? Do you own a home, car, or other capital property?
Is the debt unsecured (credit cards)
If that's the case I'd at least consider bankruptcy. Don't have enough info to give you any advice. |

If you are in debit with credit cards try calling each of them to reduce your interest rates, they may require you to close the account first so that no new charges can be added. You may also try finding a card that will allow you to transfer balances with zero interest for a period of time. I have personal done this and am within 12 months of being out of debit completely with exceptions to a car note and house payments. If you own a home try getting and equity loan at the bank just keep an eye on those interest rates that is what makes getting out of debit so difficult. |
