so I recieved a check for my chanukah from my uncle, how do i cash it? I mean I do not have a bank account at all and I am not going to get one either so how do i cash a check?

Endorse the check and have your mom/dad deposit it in their accounts and give you the cash. Costs you nothing.

If you don't have a bank account, the easiest way to get the check cashed would be to sign your name on the back of it and then give it to one of your parents and have them give you the money for it. They can deposit the check in their own bank at their convenience.

You have several options. One is to open up a savings account. Another is go to a check cashing store. They will charge you a $4-$7 fee. You need to brind them a drivers license or passport.
