How to send a personal check on Ebay?
Do you send the check after you won the bid or before? And do you send the check after you got the item or before?

AFTER YOU WON THE BID~

GO TO THE BANK AND SEND IT~

MAKE SURE HE HAS GOOD FEEDBACK ASWELL~

Jessie H
If you win the bid, you will get an e-mail and it should state how to pay. Why would you send a check before you won? You haven't won it yet, nor would you know how to send it to. Some people will not accept a personal check. I have always had to send payment before they would send item.

Check first if the seller accepts personal checks. If they do, then you send your payment AFTER you win the item. Include in the envelope a print out of the auction so the seller knows what your payment is for. If they're like me, they'll deposit your check ASAP and ship your item as soon as it clears.

goingmad
Read the instructions, follow the links and you can arrange to pay by cheque or (in UK) postal order provided the seller is willing to accept them. If you are not sure email (before the bidding ends) and ask if that will be possible if you manage to make the final bid. I only pay by cheque or p/o and if I sell only accept postal orders. Most buyers and sellers will co-operate with each other.

kj
You send the check after you have won the bid. The seller won't ship the item until he has gotten the check. The bid page will tell you if the seller accepts personal checks or not, and you have to know that before you bid.

billieleann78
The seller will send you a bill and tell you how.

you send the check when you win the bid. The seller should send an invoice with their address to send the check to. IF they don't make sure you contact them. Also they may hold you check up to 10 days before sending the item to make sure that your check clears. Hope this helps...You can also use personal checks as payments on PayPal if you want.

you have to pay 1st. set up a paypal account. it electronically drafts it from your bank and it goes to the seller's paypal account. they must then retrieve the paynent and electronically transfer it into their bank account. paypal will charge them (the seller) about 3% of the amount for their fee. if the seller has a paypal account set up, they already know this.

Normally the cheque is sent after you have won.You have to wait until the cheque has cleared 7-9 days before the seller has to send the winning item.So that means that you are gonna receive your item about two weeks from the dae you sent the cheque.Rather do a postal order if you can cause it's alot faster also consider signing up for ebay.Hope this helps

Don W
you can do a echeck with pay-pal

James Watkin
After you win the bid and before you get the item. And a lot of people only accept pay pal so I would sign up for it if I were you. Plus when you send a check, sometimes they wait weeks to make sure it isn't going to come back fraudulent because of the number of shady people in the world. So then you end up waiting a month and a half because you just had to use a check.

debbireed
You mail a check AFTER you've won and before they mail the item.

naldo
after you win . they will send the item when they get the money that's how we pay for shipping & handling . P.S. you should try pay pal it works really well and is free .

After the bid, before the booty.

jackwoerner
Don't. Get a money order instead. You can pick one up at your local post office for less than three dollars.

gsupernova
First of all, you are supposed to pay with PayPal, because it is safer.
Second, don't send the person a check unless you know them really well.

after you win the item you have to send the check. then you will get the item. dude you need to get a paypal account.

also it depends on the seller. as a seller on ebay, I only accept debit/credit card payments or paypal transfers.......

usually everything is stated on the page of the item that is being auctioned. basically contact the seller if they are willing to accept checks. a good portion don't due to some people sending faulty checks
