How to take out a little car loan when your 18 with no credit history?

2 words, savings history. Lenders will want to see evidence of savings in your account because you have no credit history. You also usually have the best chance getting a loan with your own bank or credit union.

Been there... i'm 19.

Short answer - You can't. Especially with all this economy business.

If its NO credit history you've got, rather than a BAD credit history, Try and get a credit card and just don't use it, It'll look good on your credit file.

You'll need a co-signer... like your parents or a relative.

If you have a job, you can go to your local credit union and apply for a signature only loan. You can take a loan out for up to $10,000, on your signature alone, as long as your credit is good. The Credit Union may or may not take a risk on you. It all depends on how much you want to take the loan out for. You may want to talk with them, because they may have some vehicles that they had to repossess because of non-payment, and they typically sell them for what is left on the loan balance only, and a lot of times that works out for a lot of people, so check it out! It's just an idea.

GOOD LUCK

YOU NEED A CO SIGNER

THAT IS TEH ONLY WAY, HONEYBUN

I know a few good online lenders website that are providing car loan on any credit situation. Even if you don't have co signer you can still apply for it. As you mention you got a fair credit there are good cances for you to get auto loan. All you need is to fill their auto loan qualifier form and waiting from their auto financer to contact you. They are expertise in such credits loans you can get a loan through them. They also do offer low interest rates for student.

WhoLeeOh
that should only affect your down payment. you can still get a good deal but it'll prolly be a good bit. Even though you're not a minor they would prolly want a co-signer.

Can you afford a car?

A $7500 loan will run you about $250 a month. Plus $300 a month for gas and insurance. And a $7500 car is unreliable you will have to factor in repair cost as well. Your looking at $600 a month for 5 years. I am sure your job history is short so how sure are you that you will be able to make these payments.

If you really need a car, get a credit card or two and use them responsibly. But be sure to pay off the balances in FULL every month. You may be able to qualify for a loan in as a year.

You also can get a student loan to buy a car. Most people would not suggest this because you'll be taking a huge risk doing this and who knows when you'll be able to pay it back.
