How to use credit card? i am not sure.?
hi there.
i just bought a desktop computer by my credit card.
now i have the computer. but i am not sure that how the payment happened? i just gave the credit card number which can be done by anyone who know my number.
i havent done anything more then that. do i have to pay the credit card money by going to bank or the bank will take the money by it self.
There is normally some amount of time between the purchase and when you see the bill. Usually it is between 15 and 30 days. A bill will be mailed to you, unless you agreed to have the bill sent electronically (EMail). The bill will list your name address and other essential information about you. It will provide a list of all purchasses made during that billing cycle. It will show how much you are being charged to use their money (finance charges) and what your minimum payment will be. You can always paymore that the minimum,

You get a statement in the mail from the credit card company, you can make the minimum payment due each month, or pay more, or pay the full balance the first time you get the statement (in a month or less) and then not have any finance charges

Are you sure it was a credit card and not a debit? I think not. If you don't know how they work I suggest you not use it anymore and have someone face to face show you how credit cards are used and how the whole process is done.

The company you gave the credit card to processed your payment on their end just as if you were in a store and signed the receipt.
You should have had to give them a 3 digit number from the back of your card as part of security. Or perhaps you had to give them your social security number during the call too as verification of who you are?
When you receive your statement from the credit card company you should see the transaction listed.

you are going to get a bill from the credit card company
that's when you write a check or whatever form of payment and send it to them; they in turn will credit your account
your bill will tell you how much you need to pay (the mininum) but you have the choice to pay the mininum, more than the minimum or pay all of it at one time

They should send you a monthly statement letting you know how much you owe and the due date. Pay the balance in full by the due date or you will be charged interest on the balance.

They send you a statement and you pay it with a cheque. Or you can check your statement online and pay through your bank. Either way, credit cards defer real payment for about a month and then you pay it off with cash.

If it's a bank card it's just taken out of your bank account. But if you used a regular credit card the company that you got the card with will send you a bill statement each month. My advice to you is pay off as soon as you can because you will be paying a lot of interest back if you do not. So whatever payment each month I would send extra just to pay off faster. I hope I could help you with your question Good Luck!!
