That is a really good credit score. Keep up the good work =D and good luck with your credit cards! But remember not to use your credit card all the time because it will come back to haunt you so when ever you want to buy something that you "NEED" and if you have cash then use cash always instead of a credit card but when you need to buy something and don't have cash then use your credit card. Be CAreful

613 is an EXCELLENT score for one with no experience.

It's dead-center of the highest and the lowest score; you have no bad and no good credit.

When you do get credit PAY AS AGREED. Nothing lowers your score like a missed payment.

Best wishes,

it's alright, you're only 18 so your limit won't be that big

The national average is about 678. So, I'm not sure why some people are telling you that it's awesome.

The truth is - it's below average. I think what they are trying to say is "it's not too bad for someone your age". Hopefully by the time you are ready to buy a home you'll have around a 750 score. The difference between 613 and 750 on a $200,000 30 year mortgage is about $90,000.

That's right, over 30 years the person with the 613 score will end up paying about $90k more than the person with 750 for the exact same house (maybe even more.)

Not bad for 18 but be careful and get a lot of credit cards .Start off with 1 and see how you do

yes, that's fine. If you want to raise it, just keep paying your bills on time. cell phone, car insurance, etc. Those little things will help raise your credit little by little. Also, if you want, go to the bank and get a small loan, maybe personal, and have a parent co-sign with you so you'll be sure to get it. Pay it down every month and this will also help your credit score.

I read that it helps your score to have 2-3 credit cards in good standing with low balances. Assuming that's true one thing I did was I went and got an instore credit card to some place I shop, but not that often. This way I have a third card and I can only use it at that store so I know I'm not going to run up a big balance.

TONY
it's about average for your age
