You could get a secured credit card thru your bank where you put up the money for the amount of credit they give you. Then after proving yourself get a regular bank card.
Also the best way to get your first unsecured card is thru a department store such as Sears. Just be sure to responsible if you do get one. |

Open a savings account and put it up for collateral for a secured credit card. You won't be able to touch the savings until the credit card debt is paid off, but if you pay as agreed and the bank makes a little money off you, you will be on your way to establishing credit. |

The best way to establish credit is to take the 10% off deal that many stores offer you when you go to make a purchase. Target always ask. You get 10% off the purchase your getting that day and it signs you up for a credit card. Then just purchase something there every couple of weeks and when you get your bill, pay it off. Do this for about a year and then open a second one at another store and do the same thing., In about 18 months your credit should be established enough to get a master card or visa. |

You can do the above, or you can apply for a basic Visa or Mastercard. They will probably give you a low limit and an interest rate of around 12-15% (just don't get one with an annual fee). The best thing would be to use this card for small purchases that you are prepared to pay off every month. Simply having a credit card and not using it does not establish credit; you must have a history of making regular payments. |

Go to the bank and start a savings account. When you have money in the account ask your bank for a credit card ( on their bank). Even if it is for 500.00 it will establish your credit. |

the best thing to do is get one of those pre-paid credit cards... if u dont want to do that then the next best thing to do is get a bill put in ur name and make all the payments on time or early. |

I have been doing credit card collections for 5 years, trust me when I say start with this and establish good habits so you don't destroy your credit before you've earned it |
