Here's some things that I would suggest.
1. Depending on how long you were empolyed, you may be eligible for unemployment benefits.
2. Start looking for another job.
3. Contact your CC company, and let them know the deal. The longer you let it go without them knowing the worse it will get.
4. Try to find stuff that you can pawn and/or sell on eBay.
5. Collect cans/bottles donate plasma (plasmaphresis)
I was in a simliar predicament before, and I did everything that I mentioned above, however the only difference was that I had signed up for "credit insurance" to protect me in the event something happened and I wouldn't be able to pay, like lose my job, get hospitalized, etc. |

1 . Find a new job fast
2. I assume you do not get any unemployment benefits, and you have no savings
3. Call the credit card companies and explain the situation. They may be nice and let you slip a few payments, but they may still report it to the credit bureau |

First thing I guess would be to find a new job ASAP!
I dont know where you live but in Australia if you lose a job through the company going broke or you get the sack, Centrelink will give u weekly payments to get u by until you find a new job. This could help for a while perhaps?
When you do secure a new job, put as much as u can on the card and clear it. Credit cards are a nasty thing when unexpected things like this happen, and it happens to so many people everyday and were never prepared!

It will give you a long term plan for getting and staying out of credit card debt. You will need to get another job right away. The biggest thing you should do is stop using the credit card right away. |

Call the card company, at times they can be understanding of situations like this. What I have done is purchased protection in case of incidents like this where I can't pay my credit card bill, and they allow me to suspend my payments. It is a very inexpensive protection, and it is so worth it. |
