Hire you some Crack Whorres and you'll have that in in about two months tops.

You are deep in the red eh? That sucks. You need to be as smart as me and pay attention to anything that eats your money. Trust me, knowing where to save on items n such can make a big difference and probably prevent you from even getting near into debt. Remember the old saying, (If you don't watch the store, no one else will do it for you.) Hope that helps you and your money problems.

Have a look at Martin Lewis's website - Moneysavingexpert.com. Martin Lewis is brilliant with monetary matters although I don't think he recommends debt consolidation.

Alternatively, although they can be quite difficult to contact by phone, try the citizen's advice bureau. Apparently, they can sometimes get credit card companies etc to stop adding interest to your balance and come to some arrangement whereby you can repay the debt with a mutually agreed amount.

Hope you get your finances sorted out !

Join a credit union and put some money on deposit there. Come back after a month and tell them you want to apply for a loan. If they can't help you see if they'll recommend someone to you.

If you do not own property to secure a loan against you are going to struggle to get a loan Be careful of debt consolidation it is normally secured against your property. If you don't have property to re-mortgage then you need to see a debt counsellor or citizen advice bureau. There is no quick fix. Sit down and work out how much you can pay per month (small amounts) to your creditors they will normally come to an arrangement, the other alternative is bankruptcy at least this draws a line under your debts and companies cannot add any more interest to them. Bankruptcy lasts for 12 months and you can start to rebuild your credit rating, and sleep of a night! Just some options for you to consider.

Oprah Winfrey is taking about debt right now on her show. I would suggest going to her website ww.oprah.com to find out her information on the "debt diet".

Oprah is helping a lot of people get out of debt in months.

All of the advertised companies take a cut of your income, these then leave even less to pay your creditors.
Your best bet is to go to your local Citizens Advice Bureau, they will help you free of charge.

First, there's really no 'quick' way to get out of debt. It most likely took time to get into $9,000 in debt, so I'll take some time to get out.

Second, you've got to get on a written budget and start using cash instead of credit cards. Put your credit cards away until you're in a financial situation that you can cut them up!

Third, debt consolidation doesn't work because it's fixing the symptom (debt) and not the problem (your habit of overspending). You need to change your habits and you'll can be debt free for life!

Fourth, look at what you can sell (eBay) or elminate (i.e. cable, cell phone, eating out, etc.).

Finally, I'm in the process of building an on-line course to help people get out of debt. My wife and I teach a class at our chruch where the average family pays off $5,300 in debt and saves $2,700 in 13 weeks.

If you'd like specifc help with your situation, please contact me directly. I'd be glad to help.

Try www.prosper.com.

This site is other people lending people money, not banks.

I was in the same position about 18 months ago. Consolidated my credit card and car loan into one loan over 5 years - £212 per month. Haven't taken another credit card out in the interim and don't intend to. Go to Egg (www.egg.com) - quick loan - reputable company and good rate of interest.

Don't use a consolidation company - try to get a loan from a reputable high street bank or building society - shop around for best rate.

The only " Quick way out " is bankruptcy which will only make your situation worse.

The solution depends on how the debt is structured. If it is multiple credit cards than a consolidation loan makes sense.

Use a bank or credit union to get a reasonable rate. and than
destroy ALL credit cards. If you cannot pay cash than do not buy it. I know that is a bitter pill but no other solution will last.

If you keep even one credit card, in a few years you will be back in the same boat.

Good Luck. No Pain / No Gain.

i think you are in trouble pal i know i am stating the obvious but your best way out of this is to go to a citizens advice centre they will be able to give you better advice once you have informed them of your overall financial situation as soon as possible friend good luck to you

Jason, you sound young and like you are looking to get out of debt without paying anyone back. Am I right? Sure I am. If you're honest and are working, call ANY agency that assists in helping people get out of debt. I don't believe you. I'm sure you're in debt and just want to "not pay it". Right?
