join a credit union and go with them... they generally have no fees membership or annual... they tend to have lower interest rates... most of the time fixed, and also tend to be most forgiving... FIND A CREDIT UNION. Or a good one to go with is usaa, total rewards. good luck! Do not go with capital one... the will screw you, as far as missing a payment, your intrest rate will go up... same with many store cards! |

My advice watch suzie orman, it is good to establish but to esy to use once u have for non emergencies, my advice dont get one , u will need to finance a car or buy a house and your credit cards will hurt u , but never pay over 7.9% fixed and make sure has a disabilty clause if out of work or life changing event happens..If they try offer you something else reject it, it will tell them how serious u are about u deserve credit and gonna be responsible. |

Get a secured credit card that you pay first...your money is the availible balance...that is the quickest way to establish or repair credit. |

Have you considered the Imagine MasterCard at http://creditoffernow.com/imaginecard. You don’t need to have good credit to get a great credit card. $350 Gold Master Card. Good luck getting started! |

I just got my first credit card earlier this year, and I went with Wells Fargo. They offer checking accounts and from that, you can have a credit card that uses the money from that account. They don't charge you to withdraw money from their ATM, and you can also use "Star" ATMs, which won't charge you for withdrawing either. So far I haven't had any problems.. But keep in mind that you can only use the credit card for up to a certain amount. For the checking card (if you don't mind having one) you can use that for the full amount that's in your account. |

been there before. no credit (not bad credit). there is no easy way here. you need to get a secured card. i started with 2 - wells fargo and bank of america. started building my credit and after one year, wells fargo gave me a no fee, regular credit card, transferred my security deposit back into my account. boa was different though. i had to threaten to cancel my card after one year because they wanted me to continue paying annual fees although they granted me unsecured status. they relented and gave me a no fee card too. once your credit is good there should be no problem, takes about 9 mths to a year.
good luck |

i suggest a debit card..with that you will not be spending more than what's in your account..but if you really want the usual and common card, i suggest CItibank (mastercard/visa).. |

Go for either Citibank, Capitol One or Bank of America. Watch it, though. It's so easy to use the card for non-emergencies, so very, very tempting. |
