I'm strugling to keep up with payments on my credit card because of the high interest rate, what can I do?

It depends on when you took the card out, if it was before March 2006 then your answer is an easy one. Go to Credit Clear Services who offer a completely legal service which actually wipes out credit card debt on the basis that agreements issued prior to the ammended consumer credit act of 2006 means all credit card agreements are not legally binding and therfore not valid. CCS provide a full clearance service. If however your card was taken out after 2006 you should simply negotiate with your card company, most will accept affordable payment terms.

The first two suggestions are both sensible and helpful advice. I also suggest you set a monthly budget allocating a sum to reduce the amount you owe preferably before the end of any 0% interest ends. Once the amount you owe is repaid try not to use credit cards in future, rather save up and pay cash which also allows for some negotiation in price.

You can switch to another card. But if you do, then no more spend until you have paid off the outstanding balance.

Well the first thing to do is ask for a lower instrest rate if that doesn't work then I suggest you transfer all your cards to a lower rate card.
Or you can pay mininum payments which is much lower than what you are paying now I did the same thing to control my maxium payout for 6 months that way you are able to build a reserve for that amount of time, which will allow you to controll all factors of your debt. it will take a little longer to pay off the debts but you will have a breather.
Need more answers get back to me.
Or visit at http://jasmarq.tripod.com
click on credit card Banners there are two of them.

Tell the credit card providers immediately. You may be able to negotiate something. They actually don't want you to go broke.

If you just leave it and default they will have you!
