Do you have cell/mobile phone contract? That should help initially. Try capital one's credit builder card, it has a high interest rate but if you plan to pay off each month it shouldn't matter. Also try store cards, they're usually pretty easy to get or a catalogue account.

Capital One will give you one. Pay it on time! Then you have to wait a few months and then everyone will start sending them.
Go to a bank or credit union and open up a checking acct.
You can also get a secured credit card where you put the money up front on the card. |

try renting something a tv/stereo or something they will often rent to you without a credit check/or lack of credit history. this will build a credit history, also you could try getting a visa debit card through your bank. you can use it just like a credit card but you use your own money and you don't need a credit check to get one |

If you have a bank account, start at your bank. You can get a credit card with a low limit to start and increase as you prove yourself.
If you don't have a bank account, open up a checking or savings account. Its pretty easy and you don't need a lot of cash to get started. |

There are many credit cards available to people with poor / no credit. Orchard Bank and First Premier are two of the most popular issuers. You'll also have to decide between 'secured' and 'unsecured'. Since you won't pay a security deposit with an unsecured credit card, I would try that first.

Honey, you can get a credit card from just about anyone. My dog was sent a pre-approved card application. If you have had the same job for at least a year - just about anyone will give you one. But take my advice, if you can't pay for it in cash - you don't need it. The credit card business is the biggest rip off going. The interest can eat you alive. First time card will carry about a 24% or higher interest rate. |

You can go for some prepaid cards and then use it very carefully and slowly build your credit score and then try for some credit cards. Though it will take time around 6-12 months but you will get some good one with low apr. Otherwise try to go for some cosigner and you can get a card.
Try to go for some 0% apr cards they are good along with some rewrads attached.
