Auto finance is what I do for a living and based on the information you provided no major lender is going to give you a loan for several reasons, you do not make enough money per month, you do not have enough credit history or the profile required for this type of loan.
Be warned, you will get several offers on this site and they are all scammers trying to take your money.

There are a huge number of banks that deal with auto loans for people with challenge credit. The two best choices are:
1. Go to a very large dealership that advertises that they help people with credit problems. A large dealership will normally have more banks they work with, more talented leading specialist on staff, and stronger relationships with the banks. (There are exceptions to this rule of thumb.)
2. Put down a large down payment. The more money you put down, the more likely the bank is to give you the loan.
Also, note two additional things:
1. Depending on current rebate offers, a new car may be easier to finance with a lower payment and lower down payment for you.
2. Some credit unions are wonderful for people with credit issues.
My advice is to find a dealer you feel comfortable doing business with. Believe it or not, there are honest auto dealers and honest car salespeople. Try to find one you instinctively feel good about. Generally, you will get the best deal from a "good person".

With only 6 months of Credit History the FICO Score means nothing in the overall picture. Most banks like to see at least 24 months of history before they really start to consider it. So it will be extreamly unlikely to find a car loan without a co-signer and at a rate under the high-teens. If you were able to find a loan you can expect to be required to put down at least 20%.
Now, do not fall for any of the Advanced Loan Scams. That is they will guarantee you a loan, but in order to get the loan they require you to send money in advance to them. If you send the money you will not see the loan or your money again. |

Go to the dealerships. With a score of 708 most should be able to help you , even if your income is a little low.
Basically, aside from your score, the lenders will be looking at how much money you have left over after expenses, so make sure you keep your other debt low... pay off credit cards, and maybe even temporarily lower the limits as highr limits can hurt your debt to income ratio (they will look at the card as being "maxed" for calculating the ratios, even if you have never maxxed it) and once you have the car loan you can raise the limits on the cards again.
I would avoid the online loan companies myself... even ones you think you recognize... and go see the dealer. Most have working relationships with prime lenders and subprime lenders. Some of those lenders will allow you to declare the money your mother sends you as part of your income.
Most dealers will be able to help you get into some kind of car. as long as you aren't looking for an expensive car, you should be fine. |
