Don't do it.
Being denied credit is the same as bad credit.
Just wait until you save up some money where you can borrow from the bank $1000 and use your savings account that has the $1000 as collateral. Pay it off in 3 months. That will give you credit and you won't be buying useless crap and paying 21% interest. |

Dont go Crap 1 and dont go rewards 660. For security go with a Secured Card such as Bank of America. If not Orchard.
If not you can always use creditboards.com forum they have real reviews on cards, and also use their credit pulls database to see what scores other people had to get their cards. |

Bank Of America has a student visa that is fairly easy to qualify for. If you get it, make sure you activate the card, so you can start creting credit. You don't have to use it to create credit, but by activating it the bank will report to the credit bureaus the payment history on it. So if you don't use it, you don't have to pay, therefore your credit reported to the bureaus is 0 (paid as agreed). They also have a student checking account free for the first 5 years. |

If you are going to college, then you should get offers on credit cards from the major issuers soon. You should try to get one from a major credit card issuer and start building your credit.
Getting a college student credit card is a better because most do not come with any annual fees.
If you are not going to college, try going to your bank and get a secured credit card. You probably have to pay a small annual fee and put a deposit with the bank. Make sure the secured card reports back to the three credit bureaus. |

look into secured credit cards. once you manage to build good credit, you will start getting offers for unsecured credit cards. i think capital one has one. |
