It will be fine......the magnetic strip on the back of the card is all that matters. Water will not DE-magnify your card. |

Shouldn't be a problem. If you're scared to use it take it into your bank and ask them if it's alright to use it. If it gets stuck them just go into the bank and let them know. Good luck. |

Heck, yes, it will work.
The magnetic swipe technology we use in the United States is pretty old, but it sure isn't delicate.
You can do quite a bit to a credit card and it will still work. If it worked before you got it wet, it will work afterward.
Just so you know, a lot of financial experts recommend that people who have a hard time resisting the urge to use their cards, should drop them in a bowl of water and freeze it. If they still work after that -- and they do -- just getting a bit of water on it won't hurt anything.
The average card lasts about three years before it wears out.
By coincidence, our Web site just ran a story called "The short, unhappy life of a credit card." Just for grins, you can read all about the wonders of degaussing, delaminating and all the other things awful things that happen at the end of a card's life. It's at

Enjoy, and don't worry about the card. |

I don't know I guess the only way to find out is by testing it... but bring backup in case you are trying to pay for something and it doesn't work.. I think it would still work tho |

It certainly won't jam. The magnetic strip should also work as long as it isnt seriously scratched. |

The only thing you have to be worried about is getting the strip on the back too close to a powerful magnet. This is because the strip on the back is magnetic and that's how it transfers information to the card readers when you swipe it. water will not affect the operation of your credit card.
Happy Shopping!!! |
